Shillong, April 30: The Secretary to the government of Meghalaya Political department Mr Cyril VD Diengdoh in the letter issued to all Deputy Commissioner informing them that movement of inter District of person in green zone area is permitted.
In the letter sent to all the Deputy Commissioner Mr Diengdoh stated that as of today 10 District of Meghalaya barring East Khasi Hills District are in the Green Zone as they have not reported any COVID-19 positive cases.
All Deputy Commissioner in the Green Zone may allow for inter-district movement of person of one district and another, provided that both of origin and destination are in the Green Zone.
In the order issued last night has clearly mention that the transit should not be done through East Khasi Hills District.
All protocols for screening at entry and exit point of the District concerned as prescribed by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya should be strictly adhere too.
