Shillong, March 26: Meghalaya Chief Minister and National President of NPP Mr Conrad K Sangma on Thursday evening addressed a massive election rally at Mahendraganj in South Garo Hills, to drum up support for party candidate -Premananda Koch for Zikzak and Linekar Sangma for Nogorpara constituency.
Speaking at the rally, he told the gathering that Govt has been able to initiate various development and welfare initiatives, despite COVID-19 pandemic. He also told that NPP led Govt was able to restore peace in the State and put all its attention to ensure growth & development.
He also said that Meghalaya is moving ahead with pace, however some districts are left behind, because the MLAs of those areas are not taking any interest. He cited that Ampati and Mahendraganj MLAs have never raised issues of the constituencies.
The Chief Minister urged the people that GHADC election has given opportunity to the people of the constituencies to choose MDCs, who will raise voice of the people in council and can also bring the concerns to the State Govt.
