Shillong, June 29: The National Level Tribal Meet for Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers, organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides National Headquarters and hosted by the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, successfully concluded today, 29thJune 2026, following its commencement on 25thJune 2026.
The event was honored by the presence of Shri. V.K. Mantri, IAS, Commissioners and Secretary of the Education Department, Government of Meghalaya who served as the Chief Guest at the valedictory function and grand campfire held on June 28.
During his visit at the State Exhibition Stalls he engaged meaningfully with young participants from various states acknowledging their commitment and determination to participate in this significant event.
In his address, he expressed gratitude to all attendees for their dedication and long journeys to Meghalaya while reaffirming the commitment of Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides to host more national events in the future.
This meet provided a vital platform for young individuals, to cultivate confidence, leadership skills, and team work while enhancing their understanding of India’s rich cultural diversity.
Participants engaged in meaningful interactions, exchanged innovative ideas, and built enduring friendships, embodying the spirit of national integration.
The event also emphasized critical themes such as the preservation of tribal culture, sustainable living, nature conservation, and the foundational values of discipline, self-reliance, service, and brotherhood central to the Bharat Scouts and Guides Movement.
