BSF has arrested 5 Bangladeshi and 2 Indian in the Indo Bangladesh border at Pyrdiwah

Shillong, April 01: On 31st March 2025, acting on specific input alert troops of 4 Bn BSF Meghalaya apprehended five Bangladeshi nationals near village Pyrdwah in East Khasi Hills while they were trying to infiltrate into Indian territory, two Indian nationals were also apprehended along with these Bangladesh nationals while transporting these five Bangladeshi nationals in a Taxi.

The movement of the Bangladeshi nationals was intercepted by alert BSF troops and was successful in apprehending them, in recent time BSF has intensified the intelligence and operation in Border belt in order to check the infiltration.

All the apprehended persons have been handed over to Police Station Pynursla of the East Khasi Hills District  for further legal action.

The BSF Meghalaya remains committed to safeguarding India’s International border and prevent any illegal cross-border activities. Such operations indicate BSF’s relentless vigilance and commitment to ensuring security along the Indo-Bangladesh border, and zero tolerance against infiltration.
