BSF Meghalaya organised Free Medical Camp and Weapon Exhibition in IB with Bangladesh

Shillong, Sept 25: The BSF of Meghalaya of the 110th Battalion of BSF Meghalaya organized a free Medical camp as part of its efforts to ensure the well-being of the population living along the Indo- Bangladesh border. The medical camp was conducted under the Civic Action Programme at Border Outpost Bholaganj in the East Khasi Hills district.

The medical camp was inaugurated by Mr. Pradip Kumar, IPS, IG BSF Meghalaya in the presence of Commandant 110 Bn and local villagers. During the camp, doctors from BSF and civil conducted free health checkups and distributed medicines to the needy villagers of the bordering villages Bholaganj, Nayabasti, Chaklabasti, and Kurikhal.

In addition to the medical camp, BSF also organized a ‘Weapon Exhibition’ for school students of Ramakrishna Mission in Bholaganj, who had shown their keen interest to know about the weapons and equipments used by the Border Security Force. The local villagers and headmen expressed their appreciation for BSF’s initiative and conveyed their sincere gratitude to the Force.
