Churches are not appropriate places to chant “Jai Shri Ram” said President KSP

Shillong, January 03: The President of theh Kutumba Surakshya Parishad (KSP) Satya Ranjan Borah has stated that churches are not appropriate places to chant “Jai Shri Ram”.

Emphasizing the need to respect all religions, Borah urged the public to uphold mutual respects and  harmony among communities. He highlighted that every citizen in India has the right to worship, express their faith and live peacefully, as the country values and respects all beliefs and traditions.

Satya Ranjan Borah stressed that everyone must respect churches just as churches should respect temples, stating that mutual respect should not be one sided.

His remarks came in response to a recent incident at a Church in Mawlynnong, were  one tourist reportedly shouted “jai shri ram” inside the premises.
