Citing law and order problems NPP withdraw its support to BJP led Govt in Manipur

Shillong, Nov 17: The National President of the National Peoples’ Party (NPP) Mr. Conrad K Sangma today has sent letter to the national president of the party BJP Mr. Jagat Prakash Nanda that they have withdraw from the BJP led government in Manipur.

In the withdraw letter the NPP national president Mr. Conrad  mention that he would like to convey its deep concern over the prevailing law and order situation in the State of Manipur.

In the last few days, we have seen the situation further deteriorate where many more innocent lives have been lost and people in the State are going through immense suffering.

The NPP  strongly feel that the Manipur State Government under the leadership of mr. Biren Singh has completely failed to resolve the crisis and restore normaley.

Keeping the current situation in mind, the National People’s Party has decided to withdraw its support to the Biren Singh led Government in the State of Manipur, with immediate effect.

The NPP have seven MLAs in the Manipur Assembly, Mr. Sheikh Noorul Hassan of 4-Kshetrigao, Mr. Khuraijam Loken Singh of 22-Wangoi,  Irengbam Nalini Devi of 25-Oinam,  Thongam Shanti Singh of 27-Moirang, Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh of 37-Kakching , N Kayisii of 49-Tadubi (ST) and Janghemlung Panmei of 53-Tamenglong (ST).
