Shillong, April 28: The Conglomeration of NGOs from North East under the banner North East Forum for Indigineous People (NEFIP) will meet in Shillong on Tuesday in North Eastern Hill University.
The North East Forum for Indigineous People was form at the meeting of NGOs of North East that was held recently in Imphal in the state of Manipur, where from Meghalaya has represented by the Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organization (CoMSO) which include more than thirteen organization from Meghalaya.
In their meeting in Imphal NEFIP has taken the resolution to opposed the citizenship amendment bill and also they will opposed any policy taken by the central government if its affected the indigenous people North East. They will work together for the demand of the Inner Line Permit. Said Mr Roykupar Symrem Secretary of the CoMSO and Mr Lamphrang K Bani Vice Chairman CoMSO in the press statement issued today.
