Ampati, August 28: The District School Education Office of South West Garo Hills, Ampati, organized the District Level Students’ Science Seminar-2024 on Wednesday at the Multi Facility Centre, Ampati. The seminar centered on the theme, “Artificial Intelligence: Potentials & Concerns.”
10 schools from across the district participated in the seminar, showcasing their knowledge and perspectives on the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence.
The seminar provided a platform for students to explore both the promises and challenges posed by AI in various sectors.
This event served as a platform for young minds to engage in critical discussions about artificial intelligence, inspiring them to think about the potentials and concerns this technology poses for the future.
The top honors in the Science Seminar were awarded to: 1st Position- Sechia D. Sangma, Class IX, St. Claret Higher Secondary School, Ampati, 2nd Position- Jackeus K. Sangma, Class X, Good Shepherd Secondary School, Chapahati and 3rd Position- Kasamea M. Sangma, Class IX, St. Dominic Savio Higher Secondary School, Garobadha. These winners were recognized for their exceptional presentations and understanding of the seminar topic.
Esteemed guests present at the event included T. Ch. Marak, SEO, o/o Jt. Director of School Education & Literacy, West Garo Hills, Tura; S.W. Momin, Block Mission Coordinator, Rerapara Block, South West Garo Hills; and Senora N. Sangma, Block Mission Coordinator, Betasing Block, South West Garo Hills. They also had the honor of distributing awards to the winners.
The winner, Sechia D. Sangma, will represent South West Garo Hills District at the State Level Students’ Science Seminar, to be held in Shillong on September 27, 2024.
