Shillong, June 26: The Seva Bharati Meghalaya, welcomed Dr B.D.R. Tiwari, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to Government of Meghalaya to have interaction with the10 Students from different Colleges of Pune, Maharashtra.
These students came through the Ghayn Setu project of Seva Bharati, having science workshop in different place of East khasi Hills, and Jaintia Hills in presence of office bearers of Seva Bharati Meghalaya.
The students share their more than a week long experience with the students, teachers and local people of state as life long experience and appreciated the community practices, human values , overwhelming and heart touching hospitality, simplicity, strong community bonding ,towards conservation of Nature.
The approach to life for happiness and other learning lessons and take aways from the Khasi Jaintia people to rest of the world. They also pointed out the requirements of infrastructure upgradation, competative environment and awareness for development in education sector of state.
The unique initiative of Gyan Setu of Seva Bharti as a bridging plateform of cultural interaction for national integration was highly appreciated by the guest speaker and participants. Dr Tiwari has distributed certificates to the visiting students and highlighted the importance the Gyan Setu initiative of Seva Bharati, Meghalaya.
