Shillong, Sept 26: Lions Club of Shillong organized a Condolence Meeting to condole the sad demise of its Past President Lion Biman Talukdar at Shillong in the presence of a large number of its members.
District Governor of Lions International District 322G, Lion Balram Singh Rathore was also present in the meeting and recalled the valuable contribution made by him in the service to humanity.
While paying tribute to Lion Biman Talukdar, Past District Governor Lion Dr. K.K.Jhunjhunwala said that Lion Biman Talukdar has served the Club for 45 years and was its President for two terms.
He was a very humble person with an enthusiasm to take up service projects for the community. His loss was a great loss to the Lions Club, as well as to the society.
Others present include Dr. S.K.Dhar, Past District Governor, Lion Gagan Deorah, President of the club Presided. Later on, members visited the residence of Lion Biman Talukdar and presented the Condolence message to his wife Smt Sibani Talukdar.
