Shillong, Dec 21: In an attempt to spread the Meghalaya Financial Inclusion for Women Empowerment scheme, a massive outreach programme is being undertaken by Meghalaya TMC.
Already crossing the 40,000+ mark, a set of kiosks to help out in registrations offline have been set up across the state in 24 assembly constituencies. Meghalaya TMC volunteers are providing diligent guidance to the local residents in enrolling in the MFI WE Scheme.
Women showed up in great numbers extending support for this unique initiative. Williamnagar in Garo Hills saw women thronging the kiosks in big numbers reflecting the faith from the women of Meghalaya towards this women empowerment scheme.
Door to door registrations are also being carried in the constituency under Samanda Megapgre, Nengkra, Gonggnagre, and Balsrigittim booths. Similarly, South Tura also witnessed a huge number of women voluntarily signing up to get enrolled for the scheme.
Meghalaya TMC leaders across the state are also actively involved in taking this welfare scheme to every household. By this initiative, Meghalaya TMC emphasizes on ushering a bright future for the women of the state.
