Shillong, Sept 17: The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, today as part of one of the activities of the ongoing National Level Training of Trainers (TOT) on youth led action on climate change (YLACC).
Project organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters from 15th-19h September 2026.The participated in a Cleanliness Walk Drive from its State Headquarters to Police Bazaar in the early hours reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship.
The programme also marked the observance of National Drivers’ Dignity Day, aimed at honoring the indispensable contributions of professional drivers in the local economy.
Participants also presented tree saplings to local taxi and tourist drivers in Police Bazaar emphasizing the significance of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic regulations.
Additionally, the event included special recognition for bus drivers of STEMS Meghalaya at the State Headquarters, celebrating their commitment to providing safe and reliable transport for students, along with an acknowledgment of the official driver of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides.
This comprehensive effort reflects the organization’s dedication to fostering community responsibility and environmental awarenes.
