Shillong, August 18: The Meghalaya State team bagged 2 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medal in recently concluded All India Independence Cup International Karate Championship 2019 held at Talkotara Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from 9th – 11th August, 2019.
The team was led by Sensei Arjun Sewa, Sensei Linza Fenny Syiem & Sensei Mingson Rymbai. The Association would also like to congratulate the all medal winners and karatekas who participated in the Championship.
The names of medal winners are,Emika Deimaia Myrthong – Gold medal in Sub Junior girls Individual Kata 8-9 Years, Cheltis Shylla ,Gold medal Boys Junior Individual Kumite -52Kg and Felicia Nongdhar, Silver medal in Women Individual Kumite -50Kg.
Bronze medal in Sub Junior girls Individual Kata 8-9 Years, Naribasuk Bareh, Bronze medal in Sub Junior girls Individual Kumite 10-11 Years, Daiaihunlin Pde , Bronze medal in Sub Junior girls Individual Kumite 12-13 Year, Jeremaiah C. Myrthong – Bronze medal in Sub Junior boys Individual Kumite 12-13 Years and Jasper D Pdang, Bronze medal in Sub Junior boys Individual Kumite 12-13 Years
