Shillong, June 12: The Meghalaya Govt issued advisory to all public that with the onset of the monsoon season, People are required to take extra care during heavy rainfall as there is a likelihood of flash floods, especially in areas near the rivers and streams.
People are requested not to go near the waters walk through moving water and stay away from streams, drains, culverts, etc. Don’t drive through flooded areas and stay away from electric poles or power lines to avoid electrocution.
Students are advised not to cross rivers and streams during heavy rain.· Tourists visiting the tourist spots are also advised not to venture into streams, rivers and· waterfalls.
