Shillong Sept 19: Meghalaya Home Minister Mr James K Sangma today call the Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organisation (CoMSO) for talk on the demand that they have made that the Meghalaya Government should implement ILP like, to protect from the illegal migrant that interring into the state.
The Chairman of CoMSO Mr Robertjune Kharjahrin, in the press statement issued, that CoMSO has suspend their agitation programme as the home minister Mr James K Sangma has assured that the government will implement the ILP Like law in the month of October 2019.
With the assurance that the home minister has assured in the meeting today and also with the words sent from the Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma, CoMSO has deicded to temporality suspend their agitation programme in respect to what the home minister assured to the CoMSO in the meeting today.
In the meeting home minister express that the government also is on the view that the MRSS Act will be amended and the spirit of the ILP will be inserted in the amendment of the MRSS Act, said the Chairman of the CoMSO in the press statement issued today.
