Ampati, April 26: In response to the heinous gang rape case reported at Ampati Women Police Station, Ampati Police have launched a thorough investigation resulting in significant progress. As of today, seven individuals have been apprehended in connection with the crime.
Initially, four suspects were detained, and following comprehensive interrogations and technical analysis, an additional three suspects were apprehended on April 26, 2024. All arrested individuals hail from Teporpara, South Salmara, Mankachar district, Assam, situated near the site of the incident.
The arrested individuals are currently under police custody for a period of five days, as investigations continue to unfold. While certain suspects remain at large, Ampati Police, in collaboration with Assam Police, are diligently working to locate and apprehend the remaining perpetrators.
