Shillong, April 29: On Sunday mid night unknown miscreants torches two truck caring food grain at the Food Corporation of India Godawan at Mawlai. The incident has occurred between 11.30 PM to 12.00 mid night.
Today morning when SP News Agency went to the place of the incident, talking to one of the guard stand in the gate told that the incident happen last night at around 11.30 Pm to 12.00 mid night. They do not know what is the reason by they suddenly saw the flames of fire.
With short time the fire brigade arrived on the spot and the fire was kept under control, the two trucks that were damaged in this fire incident they are bearing the registration number, AS-01-DC-6297 and AS-01-CC-9187.
During the incident the driver of these two trucks were not there. It was told that these truck caring FCI food grain were standing there for one week, along with the others truck since the weight bridge is not functioning.
The Meghalaya police today earlier morning went to the FCI Godawn at Mawlai to investigate on the incident, and during the search on the compound of the FCI they recover one plastic container with the smell of petrol just few step from where the two trucks were burn. The Police are investigating in incident.
