Shillong, August 29: To mark the Anniversary of 75th Independence Day, BSF is conducting a series of calendar events that is Band display at various BSF locations, establishments, friendly volleyball and football match with BGB, Cycle rally, Photo exhibition and cultural programs from July to December 2022 under HQ Eastern Command, BSF Kolkata.
As a part of the calendar program, a motor cycle rally from Shillong to Delhi will be conducted by the Border Security Force from 1st Sept’ 2022 to 16th Sept’ 2022 to raise awareness on National Integration despite difference in culture, customs, traditions and religion. The participants will also interact with school children, NCC volunteers and youths in several cities en-route.
The rally will show case various events like; awareness on drugs, smuggling and short films on BSF to highlight the role and task of the Force, India’s first line of defence and the largest border guarding force in the world is conducting the motor cycle rally in order to encourage country’s youths to join the Border Security Force, for safeguarding our national territory.
A total of 30 Motor cyclists 15 from Jaanbaaz Motor Cycle Team and 15 Motor cyclist from Seema Bhawani Motor Cycle Team will participate in the rally. Dr. Lajja Ram Bishnoi, IPS, DGP Meghalaya Police will flag off the rally from Sector HQ BSF, Shillong on 1st Sept’ 2022 in the presence of Shri Inderjit Singh Rana, IG, BSF Meghalaya Frontier.
The rally will pass through Guwahati, Dhubri, Siliguri, Balurghat, Berhampore, Kolkatta, Dhanbad, Aurangabad Prayagraj, Kanpur, Agra in states of Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and finally terminate at Delhi. The entire rally will be conducted under the supervision of HQ Special Director General (EC) BSF, Kolkata in coordination with various state administrations, Police.
