Shillong, Sept 30: Meghalaya TMC President Charles Pyngrope, “serving the people means taking the responsibility to serve justice”. TMC MLA Charles Pyngrope encourages students to protect the environment at ‘WINDS OF CHANGE’*
Gracing ‘WINDS OF CHANGE’, an initiative by the Meghalaya TMC students Union, TMC MLA Charles Pyngrope encouraged the students to be responsible for imparting values in the society. “Being a public servant and serving the people of the state means we have to take responsibility so that justice prevails”, said Pyngrope who was the chief guest of the event.
Adding further, the MLA gave the example of Bhutan being a zero-emission state to explain the importance of conserving the environment by the future generation. The second day of “WINDS OF CHANGE’ was marked by Singing and Fashion show competition.
The students performed pop, hip-hop, country, and Bollywood songs. In the fashion show the students presented their creative ideas, resonating with the message of ‘WINDS OF CHANGE’.
The 3-day event which is being held at the Don Bosco Hall, Laitumkhrah has an exciting line-up of activities for the participating students. As a part of this initiative, tomorrow 1st October the participating students would get an opportunity to interact with the Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Mukul Sangma, and Opposition Chief Whip George B. Lyngdoh.
On the second day of ‘WINDS OF CHANGE’, the event organized by TMC Students’ Union State President Bansharailang Pyngrope, also witnessed a large number of students from eminent colleges like St. Edmund’s, Lady Keane, St. Anthony’s, and Shillong college portraying their best showcase of talents.
