Shillong, August 20: The Chief Minister Mr. Conrad on Friday call the meeting with the Chief Executives members of the three District Council to discused was on the amendment bill and the different suggestion that was given by the Parliamentary Committee bas on that the Government of India again has asked us to give out comment and suggestion.
The meeting was call to get the comment and suggestion once again Government have call the meeting of all the District Council so that their view point can also be included in the whole process number of suggestion were also given, in the meeting have gone through all the detail to do with the issued mention for the un representation of unrepresented tribes, the numbers of seats, the different elections to be held at the different level.
In the meeting today they have discussed all the issued in large detail and base on that all the CEMs were asked to made their suggestion and recommendation in the next one week and will have the final meeting on the 25th August 2021 evening to crystallize the recommendation and will be submitted to the government of India.
The Chief Minister said that almost 95% has been accepted in the recommendation, like the Tenth Schedule, should have fiancé commission funding, all the major decision have been included, there are certain concern that we are ironing out that is why again and again having this consultation and we are hope full that we will be able to come to a consensuses and will be able to take this amendment forward.
