Shillong, March 26: The prestigious NCC Northeastern Region annual award ceremony was held at Guwahati on 26 Mar 2025 to celebrate the achievements of NCC Cadets, Staff and Educational Institutes from all seven sister states.
The Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and felicitated the awardees for their excellence in leadership, training and discipline.
The 2 Megh Bn NCC Shillong Group had the distinction with St Anthonys College Shillong being awarded the banner of best NCC College in Meghalaya.
Captain JP Upadhyay of BSS College Shillong was awarded with dual distinction of trophy of Best Overall Associate NCC Officer Male in Meghalaya but also in NER.
Third officer Badap Kyrhai Nongkseh also of 2 Megh Bn NCC from St Francis D’assisi School was awarded Best Associate NCC Officer Female in the Training category.
