Not just the academia, it has also affected the way companies, institutes and organizations work. The online teaching has become a part of the daily curriculum and it will change even more in the coming years.”
He also said that research potential has to be built up between institutions by fair redistribution of scarce resources so that in research, a university like NEHU can maintain a steady role in contributing to the economy.
Once thought to be the end of traditional brick and mortar education, MOOCs are now motivating educators to create digital material that they can use on and offline. While concluding his speech the Vice-Chancellor said when we look back in five years, MOOCs will have been a useful tool for integrating technology into teaching.
At NEHU, MOOCs Coordinators should use the Studio facility for asynchronous teaching as a learning platform. It should essentially involve pre-recorded lectures, resource video materials, lecture notes, assignments, and quizzes as content and self-assessment at regular intervals.
