Shillong, January 31: The Meghalaya Police of the special cell branch today arrested Mr Phillip Maximus Raja Chyne of Sawlad for demanding money one lakh from the missing mother of Mr Rishanlang Nongsteng from Mission Compound Shillong.
The Police said that, the fraudster sent a message to the mother of the missing engineer that her son was in his captivity in exchange for her son if she paid the amount demanded by him her son will be realeased. The police alleged that Mr. Phillips was involved in many burglary cases in the city.
In the anthers case the police mange to arrest Mr Cardinal Shabong today elarly marning from Raitsamthiah. His arrest was in connection with the firing at the Lumdiengjri police station last year.He was remanded to police custody for five days. (SP News)
