Shillong, July 24: In continuation to the Press Release dated 22″ July, 2024 pertaining to vehicles with tinted films, in a bid to enhance road safety and prevent crimes, East Khasi Hills District Police has launched a drive to remove tinted films from vehicles and till date tinted glasses of 109 nos of vehicles have been removed along with fined as per law.
Further, it is informed that as per the Motor Vehicles Act and in compliance of the Supreme Court Order, tinted glass is prohibited, and violators will face penalties.In this regard, East Khasi Hills District Police is committed to ensuring road safety and Preventing crimes.
The Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills District urges vehicle owners to comply with the regulations and remove tinted glass to avoid penalties. The Police of East Khasi Hills District has issued warning before taken action.
