Shillong, Sept 01: In connection with Rynjah PS Case No. 169 (09)25, registered under Sections 329(4), 324(2), 305(a), and 3(5) BNS, a significant recovery of stolen materials was made last evening.
The stolen items were spotted near the 4th furlong, prompting swift action from Nongmensong OP personnel, who immediately responded to the location, during the investigation, a six-wheeler truck Registration No. AS01CC-3985) was found loaded with scrap metal identified as the stolen materials.
The recovered items include, Beam Web Assembly: 10 units, Shuttering Jack: 32 units, One mobile phone and SIM card Additionally, a local taxi Registration No. MLO5K-7554 was seized in connection with the case.
In a separate development, a significant breakthrough was made in the investigation of Sadar PS Case No. 75(03) 2024, registered under Sections 417/420 IPC, with the successful recovery of the vehicle from Imphal, Manipur. The case stems from a formal complaint lodged against Shri Mohammad Fareed, Barapathar Mawbah, Shillong.
The complainant alleges that Fareed coerced him into becoming a guarantor for the purchase ofa Maruti Suzuki Eeco 5 STR, Without disclosing that the vehicle would be registered in the complainant’s name, thereby, making him liable for the EMl payments.
Following a thorough and relentless investigation, the vehicle was successfully traced and safely transported back to Shillong. Investigations in both cases are ongoing to fully establish the facts and circumstances.
