Maligaon, Sept 12: Acting promptly on receiving information Railway Protection Force of Northeast Frontier Railway rescued a 9 year old minor boy along with his kidnapper before boarding train no. 05955 special on 11.09.2020 from the Dibrugarh railway station.
The kidnapper namely Raju Chhetry, resident of Mahadevpur, under District Namsai of Arunachal Pradesh reportedly ran away with the minor boy without the consent of his parent.
On getting the information Assistant Sub Inspector of RPF and NFR Mr. S. Pangging conducted a search at the Dibrugarh station with his staff and managed to apprehend the kidnaper with the minor boy.
The minor boy is from Dewpani, Roing, and District Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh. Both of them were later handed over to GRP and Dibrugarh for further course of action as per law.
It may be mentioned here that during the last three years, RPF / NFR successfully arrested more than 50 such traffickers along with the rescue of hundreds of minor children.
In another incident on receiving information about touting activity from the Danapur Division of East Central Railway, RPF and NFR led by Inspector of RPF of Rangapani under Katihar division conducted a joint raid with the local police of Bahadurganj, under Kishanganj District, Bihar.
During the raid one person namely Fakar Ali Nazami 26 years residence of Desia Toli, P.O- Meharganj, P.S-Bahadurganj, Dist-Kishanganj Bihar was arrested from his shop for unauthorised procuring and supplying of Railway E-Tickets as well editing the tickets.
During the joint raid and search operation, 19 nos future railway e-tickets,( valued Rs- 57,008.20), one HP brand laptop, one mobile handset (Redmi Note 9 Pro with sim-9818208103 & 9955220707), and one laptop connector was seized.
A case has been registered in this connection at RPF/Post/Kishanganj vide case no-132/20, Dtd-11.09.2020 under section 143 of the Indian Railway Act.
