Khliehriat, Nov 14: The District Legal Services Authority, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat today organized a rally for legal awareness to mark the conclusion of the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme in connection with ” Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and as part of the Legal Services Week which started from the 8th of November, 2021 and concluded today the 14th of November, 2021.
The rally started from the District Court Building, Khliehriat East to Lad Block and ended at the campus of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District and it was attended by Smt. C. Dkhar, District and Sessions Judge Cum Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.
Others official who were present in the rally are Shri. S. S. Syiemlieh, MCS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat, Smt. N. Momin, Chief Judicial Magistrate Cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat and Smt. B. Kharbithai, Judicial Magistrate First Class, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.
Among others who also took part in the rally include the members of the Khliehriat Bar Association, students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya School, Rymbai, and Little Flower Secondary School, Khliehriat carrying banners and placards with messages on Right to Free Legal Aid, Human Rights and Access to Justice, etc.
