Shillong, Nov 05: The Chief Executive Officer of the Shillong Municipal Board inform that under section 128 of the M M Act all residents within the Shillong Municipal Areas are required to register their pet dogs with the Shillong Municipal Board.
Once the pets dogs are register they are to obtain dog tags on payment of Rs.250/- only. All pet owners are to ensure that their dog is not straying in public place and road. Dog found without tag will be treated as strays and necessary action against the owner as per provision the M M Acts as per Municipal Act.
