Khliehriat, Dec 04: In partial to No.EJHD/DDMA-11/Pt-I1/2022/563 Dated 29-11-2024 the Construction Works, Renovation and Repair of the National Highway-6 Road a long the Stretch from Lumshnong upto Malidor.
The repair work has started on full swing and whereas to enable speedy completion of the above mentioned work, the entire stretches of Ongoing works will remain closed for Vehicular Movements (both Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor Vehicles) from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Due to the above ongoing works and closure of the National Highway-6 from Lumshnong upto Malidor, all vehicles are strictly prohibited from accessing this section of the road. The DDMA urge all commuters to plan their trips accordingly and stock their Essential Commodities needed during this period.
The Closure is required for urgent works that are critical to ensuring the safety and integrity of the road. During this period, Local Access for Commuters will not be allowed unless under exceptional circumstances approved by the authorities managing the traffic.
The closure Details, from 05h December, 2024 the affected Road, Lumshnong upto Malidor, the reason is for construction Works, Renovation and Repair of the National Highway-6 Road along the Stretch from Lumshnong upto Malidor.
Only Emergency Vehicles will be allowed access through the “Closed Area”. However in case of Emergencies, Ambulance and other related Crucial Emergencies only may be facilitated in a coordinated manner. All other vehicles must follow the detour routes as provided by Traffic Personnel.
Be mindful of Signages for Night Visibility to prevent any Untoward Incident during the entire process of Works especially at Strategic Locations of Work for visibility Bridges, Culverts, Major Potholes, Stretches of Ongoing Works.
Any inconvenience cause to the said Closure/Blockade during the entire process of Ongoing Works is regretted and Proposed for Public Cooperation for speedy completion of the National Highway-6 state the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Disaster Management Authority East laintia Hills District Khliebriat.
