Tablets were distributed to ASHAs by the DHMO of Ri Bhoi District to strengthen the work

Nongpoh, Sept 05: In a significant move to strengthen the work of ASHAs in the district, the government of Meghalaya through the Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Ri Bhoi District has distributed tablets to ASHAs of Ri Bhoi District.

In a short programme held today the 3rd September at Conference Hall DC’s office, the Deputy Commissioner Shri Abhilash Baranwal IAS in the presence of the DM&HO Smti has distributed some of tablets to ASHAs as to mark the distribution.

This initiative aims to enhance their efficiency in addressing health issues faced by the community,  as these tablets will be equipped with health related apps to enable ASHAs to upload, collecting or reporting, access health information, track patients records and follow-up and also to communicate effectively with the healthcare providers.

The Deputy Commissioner in his short speech said that this digital empowerment will enable ASHAs to provide better healthcare services including timely interventions, accurate data analysis, improved patient outcomes and it will also help them enhanced in community engagement.
