Shillong, August 1: Dr. H. C Lyndem, Director Health Services (MI) today launched the ABDM Scan & Share Implementation Program at the OPD Registration Block of Civil Hospital, Shillong. The launching programme was followed by a live demonstration on the ABDM Scan and Share by the ABDM team.
The objective of the ABDM Scan & Share Implementation is to promote digital health services to meet the objective set by the World Health Organisation in terms of realizing the Universal Health Coverage to each and every individual throughout the country.
NHA through ABDM has introduced a QR-code based solution in ABDM empanelled facilities to enable patients to scan QR code and share their demographic base on their consent. This process will drastically eliminate the long queue during peak OPD registration time.
