Shillong, July 21: The Secretary of the village Muktapur Mr B Buam inform that the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) on Saturday has enter the village and asked the village to stop construction of the village Road with immediately.
Speaking to SP News Agency, the Secretary of the village Mr B Buam said that the BGB enter the village around noon in the absence of the Border Security Force (BSF). At the time when the Bangladesh border guard inters into the village the BSF from the Indian side was not present in the village.
From the village authority they have contacted the BSF on seeing the BGB entering into the village which is under Indian Territory but the BSF did not respond said Mr Buam Secretary of the Muktapur Village.
The BGB told the village people that they are not allowed to construct the road since it falls within 150 yard from the pillars. The Secretary of the village said that the construction of this village road is beyond the prescribe norms. The BGB use to enter the village very often.
