Shillong, Sept 10: The United opposition led by the Congress party today has called the Bharat Band in the country where normal life has been affected in many parts in the country, but did not affect Meghalaya since there is a band against band.
The Congress party in Meghalaya who were the main opposition in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly to mark their protest against price rise, like petrol and Diesel, they will hold a procession from Khyndailad junction in police bazaar and they will march to Congress Bhavan in Thanad Road.
The Congress as per their programme they will assemble at 2.30 pm in Khyndailad junction before marching to their ophis at Congress Bhavan. The Congress party expected that many people from all work of life will participate in the procession to protest against the price rise in the country which has affected the common man.
