Shillong, Jan 14: The BJP Meghalaya State Party Unit observed Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat Programme at Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha in the presence of Shri Ernest Mawrie, State BJP President, Shri Dipayan Chakrabarty State BJP Vice President, Shri M Kharkhrang, BJP Spokesperson.
Other members who were present are, Smt Deeya Rathore State Executive Member, BJP office bearers, State Executive members and Morcha members along with the Punjabi Sikh community in the spirit of the festival of Lohri.
State BJP President Shri Ernest Mawrie and BJP Spokesperson Shri M Kharkhrang extended greetings on the occasion and spoke on the concept and the modalities of the programme. All Presidents of Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha who has held Office over the years were felicitated on the occasion along with the Sangat.
Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat is a Govt of India initiative launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) which is the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
This programme enhances and strengthens the bonding and understanding between citizens so that this understanding resonates in the entire country. Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat encourages the sharing of best practices and experiences to boost the connect between different States and Union Territories.
