The BSF organised civic action programme cum free medical camp at at Laijori

Shillong, January 27: The  Seema Praharis of the Border Security Force  Meghalaya, as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of the population residing along the Indo-Bangladesh border, organized Civic Action Programs cum Free Medical Camps at various locations along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Seema Praharis of 172 Bn organized free medical camp cum civic action programme on International border under the supervision of Sh Vinod Kumar Thapliyal, commandant 172 Bn .

During the camp, Doctors from BSF conducted free health checkup and distributed medicines to the needy villagers of the bordering villages Laijori, Kuliang and Sankhat. More than 300 local villagers from nearby border areas benefited from the medical camp.

As part of the civic action program, 11 Sewing machines were distributed to women in bordering villages such as Umkiang, Dona, Laijuri and Huroi under East Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya.

In addition to these efforts, Seema Praharis of 110 Bn BSF Meghalaya organized Civic Action program and Weapon Exhibition at bordering village Ryngku under East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. During the CAP, Sports and stationary items were distributed among school students.

The BSF remains committed to assisting the border populace and the local residents appreciated the noble efforts made by the Border Security Force in ensuring the well-being of the border population.
