Shillong, Sept 06: The Chief Executive Member of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) Mr Dipul R Marak in the meeting with the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr Conrad K Sangma has take up the issue of pending salary of the GHADC employees.
Sheaking to media person after the meeting with the Chief Minister, he said that the Chief Minister is aware about the problems face by the GHADC and the government will look into the matter.
In reply to queries, the CEM of the GHADC said that the total accumulation of the pending salary of the GHADC employees is to a tune of Rs. 80 cores, and the total numbers of its employees is 2000.
When asked whether this amount is calculated with the new pay scale implemented by the GHADC, the CEM said that, the amount is of the pending that accumulated for years, they have done away with the new pay scale.
