Shillong, March 22: Today Chief Secretary of Meghalaya has issued an order that no government employee and contractual staff shall leave the District without permission from Deputy Commissioner of the concern district.
The order said “This is to bring to the notice of every concern that no Government employee in the District including officers, employees of line department and contractual staff shall leave the District without the permission of the Deputy Commissioner of the concern District.”
The order also said, “ Further, every government employee will keep their mobile phone on ‘switched on’ mode and should be available for any emergency requirement at all the times.” Non complaisance with this instructions will be viewed seriously by the Goverment.
