Shillong, December 02: The East Khasi Hills District Police has been taking several measures throughout the year to prevent Law and Order by conducting mobile and foot patrolling, conducting checkings and vice raids etc.
As December approaches many festivals are slated for the month. To prevent untoward incidents, the district police is taking preventive measures by conducting Vice raids in several parts of the city.
Last night in a coordinated raid, police raided and seized 1538.8 ltrs of beer, 43775 ltrs IMFL and 270 lts of illicit liqour from several places where illegal sale was going on and the same were destroyed on the spot.
Measures to check and book those who indulging in drunken and reckless driving by LMVs and two wheelers will also be intensified to prevent accidents and loss of life, the police will continued with the checking.
