Shillong, June 19: The HYC today has sent letter to the Secretary Meghalaya Lokayukta, Government of Meghalaya, on the conduct of examination for the post of Peon.
The HYC of the CEC, Shillong would like to inform you that we have received several complaints from the youths who have appeared in the recruitment process for the above- mentioned Post that Admit Cards were issued to the applicants that the examination for the Post of PEON will be held on 15 June 2024 at 2pm to 3pm for the subject “Aptitude test”.
However during the said period of examination, the applicants and candidates were surprise to find that the Question paper and Booklet does not have any question on the “Aptitude Test” subject but rather it contains questions related to the “General Knowledge” Subject.
This act of setting up of question papers on a different subject all together fromthe one which was reflected on the admit card has led to many candidates/applicants not able to perform well as they had prepared the “aptitude test ” subject for that particular day or timing.
This also shows that there is a lapse on the part of the authority conducting the examination and as a result of which it has affected the candidates who had applied for the said post.
The HYC claim that they were also informed that the candidates appearing on the said date and time, as mentioned above, were directed to submit the Question Booklet along with the OMR sheets which is actually not a usual practice.
Usually, the Question Booklet for any examination was allowed to be taken by the respective candidates and only the OMR Sheets are asked to be submitted but the instant peculiar case of not allowing the question booklet to be taken by the candidates has raised many doubts on the whole recruitment and examination process for the above-mentioned Post.
The HYC urged upon your good office to kindly clarify on the above issues raised by us so that the candidates and the general public are not left in the dark regarding whole process and the candidates and youths who have appeared for the examination does not have doubts on the process and also in the interest of transparency and justice, the letter was sign by Manbor Diengdoh Swer Secretary HYC Central Body.
