Shillong, April 25: The 41 Meghalaya Artilary Batterey, under the aegis of NCC Gp HQ Shillong celebrated Earth Day at APS Shillong. Maj Gen Bipin Bakshi, VSM, ADG NCC, North Eastern Region was the Chief Guest at the event. A cultural programme was presented by NCC cadets of NCC Group Shillong on the theme “Save our Earth”.
Major General Bipin Bakshi, VSM interacted with the NCC officers and cadets and complimented them on the excellent conduct of the event. Gen Bakshi has fond memories of Shillong as he has studied in St Edmunds School when his father was posted at Eastern Air Command.
Earlier in the day as part of celebrations, a Mini marathon was flagged off by the General, in which officers and cadets participated.
