Maligaon, Feb 13: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N. F. Railway with the help of GRP and local police of Kishanganj apprehended one person on 13th February, 2022 who was accused with a rape case in Delhi.
The accused person namely Khalil Islam, aged about 18 years, travelling by train No. 12424 UP New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express was apprehended at Kishanganj railway station.
Information was received on 13th February, 2022, at about 09:35 hours from Crime Branch of New Delhi by Shri Kapil, working in Train Control Cell of Agra that a person aged about 18 years was travelling by train No. 12424 UP New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express in Coach No. A-5, Berth No. 38 who was an accused in the rape case.
Mr. Kapil immediately gave this information to RPF Commandant Prakash Kumar Panda and information was also relayed to Inspector of Divisional Security Control Room of RPF posted in Agra. Divisional Security Control Room of RPF and Agra swung into action and made communication with Inspector-in-Charge New Delhi Shri Rajeev Malik.
After getting details about the incident, Divisional Security Control Room of RPF of Agra contacted with Security Control of RPF of Katihar division and then whole incident was informed to RPF Post in Kishanganj.
On getting information, SIPF Mr. M. K. Bairwa and officers and staff of RPF Post in Kishanganj, GRPS of Kishanganj and Local Police of Kishanganj attended the said train and detrained the accused person on arrival of the train at Kishanganj railway station.
Later on, the accused person was handed over to GRP and Kishanganj for further action. Thus, commendable efforts and timely action taken by all the teams helped in apprehending the accused person in a least possible time.
