Shillong, August 20: The State Advisory Committee on NCC of Meghalaya State met on 20 Aug 2019 at Shillong under the chairmanship of Shri Lahkmen Rymbui, Hon’ble Education Minister of Meghalaya.
The focus of SAC was to give necessary impetus and guidance to the NCC especially keeping in mind the NCC organisation in the State. Many aspects were discussed , which included Raising of Additional NCC Units, Establishment of NCC Academy, enhancements of Financial Powers and optimisation of manpower etc. The Chairman assured that the State Government is ready to provide all possible assistance to NCC.
Major General Bipin Bakshi, ADG NCC Dte NER with senior officers of NCC, reps of Education & Finance Dept and Principals of Prominent Institutes from the State were also present for the meeting. The last SAC meet was held in January. 2016
