Shillong, July 07: To encourage North East youth to join the Indian Army, the government of India has taken the decision to reduce the high for the youth o the North Eastern region by four centimeters from the normal high.
Sources in the Indian army said that the normal high for the rest of Indian, a person should have the high of 153 centimeters but for the youth of North East has been reduce to 148 centimeters to get recruit into the Indian Army.
There will be special derived for women in the entire county to recruit them in the India Army including the North Eastern state, in the first phase there will be for 100 vacancies. There will be seventeen phases of recruitment to fill the 1700 post in the Indian women army/
