Shillong, August 14: Two personnel from the Meghalaya Civil Defence and Home Guards organization Shri Ram Charles Lamare, Havildar from the Central Training Institute, Civil Defence and Home Guards, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong.
Shri Prafulla Basumatry, Havildar from the Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong were awarded the prestigious Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of 78″ Independence Day Celebration, 2024.
The two Senior Officers, Shri M.K. Sangma, Joint Director of Civil Defence, Meghalaya, Shillong and Shri R.P. Khongwar, Joint Commandant General of Home Guards, Meghalaya, Shillong and thirteen other personnel have also been awarded the Director General, Civil Defence and Home Guards, Meghalaya Disc and Commendation Certificate on the occasion of 78th Independence Day Celebration, 2024.
