Shillong, December 01: The State Level Painting Competition is going to be organized on the 3rd December, 2016 at All Saint’s Hall, IGP, Shillong and the Prize Distribution Ceremony will be held on the same day at the same venue in the afternoon at 3:00 PM. The Central Ground Water Board, under IEC programme, organizes Painting on themes related to Ground Water Competition every year since 2010.
The School Level Painting Competition was open for students of 6th, 7th and 8th standards and was conducted by various schools of Meghalaya during the month of October-November, 2016. A total of 4612 students from 121 schools from all over Meghalaya participated in the School Level Painting Competition.
Fifty best paintings were selected from the School level competition and these students have been called for participating in the State Level Painting Competition. First, Second and Third Prizes as well as 10 Consolation Prizes (Trophies, Certificates and Cash Awards) will be awarded during the State Level Painting Competition. The winner of first prize from each of the States/UT’s would be called to New Delhi for the National level competition. National level winners will also be awarded cash prizes.
