Shillong, May 17: Whereas, reports have been received from the Incident Commander, Zone-IV that the public at Iewduh are not following the protocols, despite regulation on opening of shops, and strict instructions that people should move out only for essential purposes.
It was noticed that many are not complying to the protocols of the Health Department, And that many shops were seen to be crowded, and there are still some persons who are not wearing masks or observing physical distancing with due diligence.
And it was also observed that people are moving from one locality to another despite restrictions, And whereas this laxity is a cause of concern in view of the ongoing fast spread of Covid-19.
Hence, exercise of the powers conferred under the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 for containment of any possible spread of COVID-19, it is necessary that all shops and stalls at Iewduh, Shillong shall remain closed, until further orders.
