Shillong, August 29: The Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) partners met today to celebrate their victory in the bye-election to the Ranikor and South Tura constituency respectively.
In the celebration meet, all the MDA partners were present and reiterated their strong commitment towards the MDA government.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma expressed his gratitude to the MDA for extending support during the election campaign.
“South Tura took up the challenge given by Kyrmen Shylla and have ensured my victory with a record margin. I thank the electorates of South Tura and MDA partners for all support during the election campaign,” said Conrad Sangma, while expressing that his victory is MDA’s victory.
He assured that MDA partners will work together to reaffirm their commitment and pledge to the people of Meghalaya to take the State forward.
UDP working president Bindo Lanong spoke on behalf of party to express their commitment to the MDA. He said that the byelection has strengthened the MDA further and the bond between the partners.
