Shillong, February 21: The Ministry of Communication, Department of Telecommunications, Telecom Enforcement, Resource and Monitoring Cell, Government of India will be conducting a District level Awareness Program on EMF Emissions from telecom Towers at Shillong Club, Shillong on 23rd February, 2017 at 10:30 AM.
The awareness program is being conducted to address the myths and misconceptions related to emissions from telecom towers and to spread the message that these towers are safe. During the programme, a panel of distinguished medical and telecom experts will also address various stakeholders.
The Department of Telecommunications has earlier conducted a National Level Awareness Program on EMF emissions from telecom towers for the North Eastern States on 24th January, 2017 at Guwahati.
