Shillong, November 18: The demonetization of the NDA government as announced by the prime minister Narendra Modi government has work into reality where the Police of the East Garo Hills District today seized more than Rs.35 lakh of rupees from two suspects that the money belong to the GNLA militants group.
The police suspected when two person were trying to convert this huge amount of money that they have with them into white money. Sources said that the militants are running short of money after the Modi government at the center has demonetized the Rs.1000 and Rs.500.
The police seized Rs. 34.65 lakhs from Lingstone CH Marak of Chachatgre village and from Simple CH Momin police has recover one lakh. The police are working hard to find out the money that was kept by the GNLA militant.
